Political poster honoring country's independence

The Convention Peoples Party combined generalized opposition to colonial rule into a relatively coherent single party, led by Kwame Nkrumah (Prime Minister and/or President 1952-1966). The CPP appealed to nationalism, economic development, and Nkrumah's charisma for its appeal.

The poster reads: "United we build a strong nation
One Nation - One People - One Destiny
Self-Reliance"
