Description

This collection comprises photographic portraits of early members of the Buffalo Surgical Society which was founded in 1924. Its members included surgeons who were very prominent both in the Buffalo area as well as nationally and internationally. The purpose of the Society was to bring the surgeons of Buffalo into a local organization patterned after ones that existed in other cities throughout the United States. The Buffalo Surgical Society still exists today.
