HOOKER WILL INHERIT A GREAT DEAL FROM THESE EMPLOYEES.
THEIR FAMILIES.
Marilyn Fitzsimmons, Clerk-Typist
“...As a clerk-typist I read all the goings on here at Hooker. The working conditions are very good and safety is excellent.
"...My children have applications in to work here. I'd love to see that because I know it's a safe place to work, and I wouldn't let my children work in an unsafe place. Not as a mother.
"...My children realize that benefits, safety, and good people make Hooker great. Working here will make it that much easier for them when it comes to raising their own families. Who knows? maybe their children will want to work here to..."
Pam Harvey, Chemical Operator
"...One thing I've noticed about Hooker is that a lot of people working here have fathers and mothers who worked here. This company likes to carry on sort of a family tradition. It's a family atmosphere here. You get really close to each other. Hooker even gives family picnics for the parents and kids.
"...At my job I cover about five levels in the plant, so I do a lot of running. It's tough work, but I like the exercise.
"...I've known people who've worked for other chemical companies and they don't feel the same way I do. Their environment wasn't very good, not nearly as safe. You see, I want my kids to work in a nice place. And Hooker is just that."
Selo Ferucci, Machinist and Maintenance Man. Retired after 40 years.
"...My father told me when I was young, 'You can't get something for nothing, Selo.' He worked at Hooker for 39 years. I know what he went through to raise our family. He worked hard. But he never complained. He never complained because Hooker was always good to him.
"...They've been good to me, too. And to a lot of our family. I've got a brother-in-law who's a rigger, and another who's an electrician.
"...I get sick of listening to the news. I know Hooker's had it rough. I don't think it's been fair. I know for a fact, they're spending a lot of money to help clean up pollution. That's 'cause Hooker gives a damn about Niagara, and the rest of the country.
"...My kids know my father and I have had it good here. If htye ever need a job, they know where to come. And maybe my grandchildren will feel the same way."
