Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
A black-and-white aerial photograph taken by Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc., N.Y.C., showing a densely developed city neighborhood. Rows of closely spaced houses line a grid of intersecting streets, with some diagonal roads creating irregular blocks. A large canal or river runs from the upper left to the lower left, crossed by multiple bridges and bordered by industrial and open areas. Circular storage tanks appear near the lower left edge, and a large institutional building with surrounding green space stands near the center. The number “8226-30” is written in white in the upper right corner, and printed text in the lower right reads “FAIRCHILD AERIAL SURVEYS INC. N.Y.C.”
