Title
Grinding sugarcane
Description
India produces millions of tons of sugar annually. In 2007, the US Department of Agriculture estimated that 265 lakh tons would be grown. (A lakh is equivalent to 100,000 through most of South Asia.) Part of the cane is squeezed for juice, a special treat at marketplaces.
