Title
Rashtrapati Bhavan and Jaipur Column
Description
Built in the early 1930s, the presidential residence was built and the principal buildings of the capital were laid out. Most were designed by Sir Edward Lutyens. The overall intention was emphasizing the majesty of British rule, which came to a swift end barely twelve years after New Delhi was formally established by King George V.
