Title
Tomb reconstruction for France's first king
Description
Most carvings of French monarchs in the St. Denis crypts are imaginative reconstructions from portraits. This shows renovation of King Clovis' tomb in process, as the basilica has been considerably restored since ~2000. Clovis I lived from 465 to 511. All but three of the country's kings are buried in St. Denis.
