The aerial photograph shows a densely developed urban grid filled with rows of houses and intersecting streets. Toward the bottom, an industrial waterfront district stretches along the shoreline, containing large warehouses, docks, and rail lines. A bridge extends across the water from the lower right, linking the city to the opposite shore. At the far left, smoke rises from an area on a small peninsula jutting into the water. The street grid continues inland with diagonal avenues breaking up the regular pattern. The bottom right corner is labeled "Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc N.Y.C.," and the top right shows the code "8226-148."
