23 marca, na skutek wstrząsów tektonicznych, w kopalni "Rokitnica" - na głebokości 800 metrów - nastąpił zawał, który odciął 19 górników. Brygady ratownicze wydobyły w krótkim czasie 8 spośród nich. O życie pozostałych trwała dramatyczna, prawie siedmiodniowa walka. Niestety udało się wydobyć jeszcze tylko jednego. Na zdj.: uratowany po 158 godzinach, Alojzy Piontek.

23 March, as a result of earthquakes in the mine "Rokitnica" - at a depth of 800 meters - there was a heart attack that cut off 19 miners. Rescue Brigade unearthed in a short time, 8 of them.
