Będzie on przeznaczony osobistościom w kraju i za granicą za wybitne zasługi dla Warszawy. Otrzymają go również muzea i instytucje naukowe zagranicą.

To commemorate the 700th anniversary of the double anniversary of Warsaw and the 20th anniversary of the liberation of the capital, a bronze commemorative medal was minted.
