W roku 1939 było w Warszawie 25.498 budynków. Z liczby tej w okresie 1939-1945 zostało całkowicie zniszczonych 11.230 a częściowo 3.879. Pozostałe były również uszkodzone i zdewastowane W okresie 15 lat wybudowano 110 nowych, kompleksowo zagospodarowanych osiedli mieszkaniowych.

In 1939, Warsaw was 25,498 buildings. Of this number during the period 1939-1945 11,230 were completely destroyed and 3,879 partially. Others were also damaged and vandalized in the 15 years 110 were newly built, comprehensively developed housing estates.
