Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
The image shows an aerial survey photograph of an urban area. The upper portion is dominated by industrial buildings, warehouses, and rail lines, with several open lots nearby. The majority of the scene consists of residential neighborhoods laid out in a dense street grid with rows of houses. Toward the bottom right, large open fields contrast with the developed sections. A diagonal rail line cuts across the scene near the center, dividing the residential and industrial areas. The number “8226-176” is written in the top right corner, and the bottom right is labeled “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc N.Y.C.”.
