Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
This black-and-white aerial photograph shows a transitional urban landscape with a mix of open fields and developing neighborhoods. Streets are laid out in a grid, though many areas remain only partially built up, with wide stretches of open land between houses and buildings. Some cleared lots and construction sites are visible, particularly in the center. Larger open tracts and wooded sections appear on the left and lower parts of the image. The top right shows denser residential areas and established roadways. The lower right corner bears the label “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.,” and the upper right is marked with the number “8226-256.”
