This black-and-white aerial photograph shows a city neighborhood with a tightly packed grid of residential streets and rows of houses. Toward the bottom of the image, large industrial complexes with long rectangular buildings and warehouses are visible. Several major rail lines and yards run horizontally and diagonally across the lower section, linking into the industrial areas. Scattered open lots and undeveloped areas appear near the edges of the neighborhood. The label “Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc. N.Y.C.” appears in the lower right corner, and the number “8226-268” is written in the upper right.
