A diagonal beam crosses the upper left area while several figures stand or sit around a bed-like table covered with a cloth. The individuals wear period-style clothing, and other props such as a dresser are visible, suggesting a backstage or stage scene. The scene is dimly lit with a gritty, rustic ambiance.
