Description
Mail art piece, created by Mumbles, with four separate mail art items contained within a colorfully decorated envelope. The design on the front of the envelope displays an abstract artwork with sweeping black brushstrokes over a softly blended background of pastel green, yellow, red, and blue, creating dynamic, gestural curves and movement across the page. It is signed and dated "John E. 5/90". Included within the mailing envelope are a handwritten note on white paper to "John" from "John E.", a typewritten story called "Mother's Milk" followed by a continuation of the story entitled "Mother's Milk II", and, finally, a copy of a newspaper article discussing film director David Lynch and his "Twin Peaks" television show cut out of the Wichita Eagle, dated May 22, 1990. The back of the containing white envelope has a handwritten address and a canceled postage stamp. Mail art recipient: John M. Bennett.
