Recorded at the Creative Arts Festival at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio on April 19, 1973 on a 7 inch Scotch reel-to-reel tape. Recorded by Robert J. Bertholf, while serving as Professor of English and organizer of the Creative Arts Festival at Kent State University. Recording was donated to the Poetry Collection at the University at Buffalo, where Bertholf subsequently served as Curator
Ed Dorn introduces the poetry reading by Harvey Bialy at the Kent State Creative Arts Festival. Bialy began by reading "Song for a cool departure" by Paul Blackburn, which, as Bialy pointed out, was published in the Evergreen review. Bialy then read from the long poem "The feast" and a selection of short poems.
