            Description
This item features a biography of Marion DeForest, a playwright. She had a vision condition early in life that confined her to dark rooms, and developed a good memory from having to learn all of her lessons by listening. She used this talent later to work with the Buffalo Evening News and the Buffalo Commercial. She wrote the final scene for the play, Little Women, and along with Lily Langtry, became famous around the US and Europe.
