Mail art

Front of piece is a white postcard printed with orange and decorated with stickers, rubber ink stamps and German postage stamps. Back of piece is decorated with rubber ink stamps. Submitted as part of the Youth and Mail Art Project.

A decorated postcard featuring various artistic stamps and handwritten text. On the left side, there is a stylized red stencil of a face, a blue-red-white “mailart” sticker, and a hand-drawn house shape containing the sender’s address: “Linda Winnes, Hertzstr. 29, Berlin, DDR-1106.” A red stamped pointing hand and purple “Winnes 1106 Berlin” stamp appear below. The top center shows ornate red lettering reading “POST CARD,” along with a black overprint for a Berlin exhibition. A German postage stamp depicting a woman is postmarked at the top right. On the right side, the postcard is addressed in blue handwriting to “Youth + Mail-Art, Luce Fierens, Boterstraat 43, B-2811 Hombeek, Belgien,” with some words underlined in red.
