Published in 1664 by Philip Chetwinde, the second issue of the Third Folio added seven additional plays for a total of 43, although most of these are no longer believed to have been written by Shakespeare. Lockwood’s copy of this edition is bookmarked and bound in contemporary brown calf that has been rebacked, with blind stamping on the covers, giltstamping on the spine, and plain endpapers. As with his other folios, there are numerous errors in pagination throughout.
The 3rd impression. And unto this impression is added seven playes, never before printed in folio. Viz. Pericles Prince of Tyre. The London prodigall. The history of Thomas Ld Cromwell. Sir John Oldcastle Lord Cobham. The puritan widow. A York-shire tragedy. The tragedy of Locrine.
Imperfect copy: Light insect damage to covers and some leaves; covers worn and rebacked.
