Dear Frances-
I have just finished my
questions in practice; Dr. [Pr??] examines
us - he sits below now in a full
dress suit as stylish as you please
I have answered every question
I think I am fortunate. but per
haps - they are not full enough
as I am the second one through
but he told us to be brief,
I am dreading the examinations
horridly. but pray for me my
dear. + I guess I shall [?]
this. I have [had] my dress -
nearly done. I am to wear white
or rather cream colored alba
tross cloth. with my white lace
shawl - looped as an overskirt
Imagine my poor pinched face
in such a pretty dress.
I know nothing what I shall do
When I get thru. I would do
almost anything. I can only get thru
I think I passed in [Mater????]
med. I dread Chemistry beyond
anything earthly. but it will soon
all be over.
We are having lovely weather
now - too warm for you but
just right for me.
Mrs Packwood + family are well-
Mother is with me I have such
a nice place. I only wish you
+ I had had it last year-
cant you come up to commence
ment. I will send you a card
when I get them. I am [s??]
as you prob. know.
The boys are all so good to me
They say they will pull the
college down if they pluck me.
Mrs Wright from Bradford
attends college- her husband
was a physician there but is
now dead-
She has an office +c. to
go to work in. When she gets
thru. You had better come up +
make her acquaintance and
go in partnership with her-
I think you would agree
very well indeed
Miss Knapp gets angry with me
every week + gets over it;
There is one dear little girl in
school. Miss Emma Dickinson
she graduates as nurse in the
Rochester hospital + before that
in the Classical Course of Geneseo
Normal School. She is always
just the same. you would
like her I know.
It was too bad about your
mothers finger. Dr Park
lectured on felons yesterday.
he said always cut in the
[n?dr?n] line of the fingers
to avoid nerves + bloods vessels
Harry Burgtold has lost his
father. and just before he
died he failed in business-
so the poor boy has nothing
to [live] depend on.
O Dear I wish these terrible
Ex’s were over- I am sick at
my heart and I want to lie
down.
Mrs [S??????] visited the
College two weeks ago, with
her husband - said she had had
29 confinement cases since the
first of last may-
she has not dressed as well
as when she was in school.
She shook hands with Dr Carey
Dulaney rochester has returned
from Europe looking much
older - Good bye Louise
