My Dear Girl
I am dying
to hear from you - Do
write me. I have only
time for a word. have
been here since the
1st of Feb. and like it
very much.
We are having such
fine weather. no
storms at all.
I am kept very busy
giving electricity and
have learned lots.
I will tell you of the
Institution in my next.
I suppose you read of
the large class that grad
uated at the university
Miss Carroll is through
at last poor girl. I
dont know what her
address is at present.
Miss Knapp is in
San Francisco Cal.
I do trust my dear you
are doing finely. Write
me at once.
I find myself longing
for home very often
but conquer the weakness
when I know it is all for
the best.
The Country looks oddly
to me. with the mountains around the city
Allegheny + Pittsburg are
as one city a bridge
over the Allegheny river
dividing them.
I must say good bye!
and God bless you. for
the present write
me soon. How I do long
to see you. When I write
there always comes a
vision of those stairs. and
the time spent in cleaning
them! Bah! What haven’t
we been through for
our education and
“What is it all when all
is done?” but it might
be worse. so let us cheer
up my dear. and be
brave. face life as it comes
for every day you know
shortens the way
Yours ever Louise
