Dear Fanny.
Do I owe you
a letter? I believe not
but as I havnt your
letter with me. I
shall have to
give you the ben
efit of the doubt.
Mrs Hodge is dead.
and mother brother
and myself are with Mrs P this winter
Mrs H died the twelfth of October
yesterday I assisted at a[n] Laparotomy
a very trying case. and I fear
the patient may die- there were
so many adhesions. Dr. Eugraham
of the Niagara University performed
the operation. but Drs. Park and Mann
were called in to help diagnose the
case. All this lingo and I have
not asked how little Louise pros-
pers. Do send me a photo of
the darling. I bring her to B- for
me to pet. Just think what
an old maid I
am getting to be.
and still I am
contented.
I will send you
a “news” with some-
thing interesting
about Drs Carey
and Kentfall.
With lots of love to
your dear self +
little one- + with
kind regards to
your husband
