Minaret of a new mosque

According to the 2010 census, more than 60% of the Malaysian populace is Muslim. Islam and the Malay population are closely linked politically. Other major groups - the perhaps 13% Buddhist derive from China and other SE Asian countries, and six percent Hindus come from India.
