Description
The elegant Court in the Twentieth Century Club of Buffalo's clubhouse is a large, square central room featuring a high ceiling punctuated with leaded glass skylights. It is graced with an uninterrupted series of symmetrical openings demarcated by Ionic columns on either side. The horizontal panels of sculpted frieze that circle the room high above each opening are replicas of Luca Della Robbia's marble Cantoria , originally sculpted for the Duomo in Florence, Italy in the fifteenth century and depict the 150th Psalm.
