Description
Photographic portrait of the early Western New York dentist Nelson Stevens who was born in Canada on March 11, 1801, moved to Ithaca, N.Y. and then to Batavia, N.Y. in 1848 where he practiced dentistry until his death in June 1870. He was instrumental in the founding of early dental societies in New York State including the Eighth District Dental Society.
