After the Allen Street location of the Junior League of Buffalo Thrift Shop closed in early 2001, a new revamped version was opened at 498 Elmwood Avenue. The Junior League Thrift Shop was a continuous money raising activity for the League from 1921 until its final closure in late 2006. It was the first thrift shop among the members of the Association of Junior Leagues.
