Description
Larry W. Griffis, Jr., designer of the proposed bronze statue 'The Spirit of Womanhood' to honor Zonta founder Marian de Forest, posed with a model of his creation at the Buffalo City Planning Board Meeting in City Hall in 1961. Griffis was the creator of the first sculpture park in the United States 'Griffis Sculpture Park' in Cattaraugus County, New York which also serves as a nature preserve.
