Description
This architectural blueprint illustrates detailed exterior and sectional views of the country home of Darwin D. Martin, located on the Lake Shore of Lake Erie. The drawing includes labeled West Elevation, East Elevation, and a Section A-B through Living Room, showcasing the Prairie-style design typical of Frank Lloyd Wright. The elevations highlight prominent chimneys, horizontal lines, extended eaves, and grouped windows. The section view reveals interior details including room divisions, ceiling heights, and foundation structures. A smaller inset labeled Section C-D Thru Carriage Cover appears at the top center. Notes in fine handwriting identify materials and construction details such as “All exterior corners metal corner beads (flush)” and “plastered soffet. [sic]” The blueprint title block at the bottom confirms the architect as Frank Lloyd Wright of Taliesin, Spring Green, Wisconsin, aligning this drawing with Wright’s signature residential architectural style. The blueprint shows fold lines and signs of wear along the edges.
