This blueprint is a Planting Plan for the Evergreen Garden at the estate of Darwin D. Martin in Graycliff, Lake View, New York, designed by Ellen Biddle Shipman. The plan outlines the arrangement of trees, shrubs, and other plantings around the rectangular garden. The perimeter features groupings of labeled plant species, including junipers, poplars, and various flowering shrubs. In the center, there are detailed Planting Notes with instructions about soil preparation, arrangement of species, and planting order. A List of Lilies specifies quantities of different lily types to be included. The lower margin identifies the project, estate owner, and designer, with the date March 13, 1930.
