Description
Two women stand at a podium in front of an American flag. One, struggling with her emotions, is reading from a paper or clipboard at a microphone, while the other stands close behind with comforting hands on her shoulders. Both wear name tags but only the speaker's name is legible as: "Jeanette Tate." The occasion is the rally against resettlement of the Love Canal Chemical Waste Landfill area, Niagara Falls, New York that was organized by the Citizen's Clearinghouse for Hazardous Wastes which originally was founded by Lois Gibbs in 1981.
