Description
In 1978, after heavy rains, many Love Canal residents complained of dark, thick, and chemical smelling liquids appearing in their basements. A basement or utility area at the house at 410 99th Street shows a floor drain with a pipe inserted into it. Nearby, a vertical drainage pipe runs along the wall. A numbered evidence marker reading "99 410 1" is placed next to the drain, and the wall behind has dark staining near the floor; photographed by Penelope D. Ploughman.
