Description
A group of demonstrators are holding Love Canal protest signs inside the Niagara Falls Convention Center at New York State Governor Hugh L. Carey's speech to New York State teachers on April 27, 1979. One sign reads “Gov Carey’s Promises are as Worthless as our homes,” and another says “Hooker Your Profit is our loss.” A third partially visible sign includes the word “Hooker” in large letters. The setting is inside the Niagara Falls Convention Center with fluorescent ceiling lights and glass doors in the background.
