Love Canal Chemical Waste Landfill (Niagara Falls, N.Y.)
Description
A rectangular protest sign lies flat in tall grass. The sign is handwritten in large block letters, though much of the writing is faded or obscured. Parts of the message are faintly visible, suggesting a personal statement that begins with "MY NAME IS" and references to suffering and home. The overall red hue of the image distorts color accuracy, making the text hard to decipher.
