Description
Sister Margeen Hoffmann is on right, dressed in blue skirt and shirt and green blazer. She was Executive Director of the Ecumenical Task Force of the Niagara Frontier from 1979-1988. A group of protesters stands outside a building holding signs denouncing landfill site #6 and CECOS, a hazardous waste disposal site. Several children are in the foreground, holding handmade posters with messages like “NO! Landfill #6 No More Chemicals!” and “STOP CECOS.” One child wears a costume shaped like a protest sign. An adult in a green jacket interacts with one of the children. The group includes both children and adults, with expressions of concern and determination.
