DOROTHY THOMASON IS HOOKER’S SECURITY.
HOOKER IS DOROTHY’S SECURITY.
“...I started at Hooker in ’65 as a chemical worker in caustic. I was there for a year-and-a-half, then they asked me to try Security. So I said, ‘Sure.’ I like the Security work much because it’s a responsible sort of a job. You’ve got to be conscientious, and always on your toes because you’re protecting the plant and the people you work with.”
“...One of the guards' responsibilities is to make sure people have all the protective gear on. In a way, I’m responsible for their health. That’s a lot of pressure, but I like it.
"...Without hooker Chemical, I think this town would be hurt badly. You see, Hooker is one of Niagara Falls geatest benefactors, and industry keeps this town going. It's our bread and butter.
"...People I know here think this is one of the best places to work in the Falls. that's because of all the benefits. We don't worry, because everything is covered. Hooker is always improving for the Community. They've spent millions to clean up the environment. I know that for a fact, I've lived here all my life. That's why I feel all the bad publicity in the past was uncalled for. I wish people would realize that so many things were untrue in the news and appreciate Hooker for the good company it is. Hooker means security to me..."
