Love Canal Chemical Waste Landfill (Niagara Falls, N.Y.)

A row of single-story residential houses along a paved street. Several of the homes have boarded-up windows and doors. The house on the left and the one in the center display large white "W" markings on their exteriors, and the one on the left is also marked with the number "96". The grass in front of the homes is overgrown and the sidewalks show signs of disrepair. Trees in early spring growth appear in the background.
