Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
A black-and-white aerial photograph taken by Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc., N.Y.C., showing an urban area transitioning between built and undeveloped land. The left side of the image features densely packed residential blocks with rows of houses and diagonal streets converging near a major intersection. Toward the right, streets are laid out but many lots remain vacant, indicating new development. A rail line runs diagonally from the lower left to the upper right, intersecting the grid of streets. A curved roadway and canal-like structure are visible near the top center. The number “8226-260” is written in white in the upper right corner, and printed text in the lower right reads “FAIRCHILD AERIAL SURVEYS INC. N.Y.C.”
