Description
Photographs, Black and White ; 24 x 18 cm.
A black-and-white aerial photograph taken by Fairchild Aerial Surveys Inc., N.Y.C., showing an expanse of agricultural land divided by multiple intersecting rail lines and rural roads. The railways converge near the center, forming a network of diagonal and parallel tracks. Rectangular fields and small clusters of trees are visible throughout the landscape. Several farm buildings and residential structures are scattered along the roads, and a rectangular fenced area or water reservoir is visible near the upper center. Light-toned areas at the top appear to be cleared or excavated land. The number “8226-337” is written in white in the upper right corner, and printed text in the lower right reads “FAIRCHILD AERIAL SURVEYS INC. N.Y.C.”
