Description
A black and white newspaper page from The Spectrum, dated Monday, November 8, 1993, includes a large article on the band Nirvana performing at the University at Buffalo’s Alumni Arena. The top half includes two photographs of Kurt Cobain playing guitar and singing, and one photo of another band member performing under stage lights. The article discusses how the concert was organized by student Kathleen Duffy, details about contract negotiations and backstage requirements, and briefly describes the performance. To the left of the article is an advertisement for a lecture by political commentator George F. Will, part of the 1993–94 Distinguished Speakers Series, scheduled for November 10, 1993. Below the main article, a continuation discusses the concert opening acts—the Boredoms and the Meat Puppets—and highlights from the show.
