Title
Rickshaw driver, New Delhi
Description
Given the incredible crowding of India's roads and its dense population [particularly in cities], public transportation must be supplemented by inexpensive taxis. In addition to pedal-driven rickshaws, motorized rickshaws ['pedicabs'] contribute to both traffic jams and air pollution. [The latter became so severe in New Delhi that these vehicles were required to switch to other less polluting sources.]
