Title
Porter at railway station
Description
This man probably spends 15 hours per day, waiting for persons to have their bags carried to waiting trains. Prices are negotiated. Since porters are almost invariably illiterate and drawn from lower segments of society [Dalits and the Scheduled Castes or Tribes], they barely scrape out a living.
