Title
Udaipur fortress and palace
Description
Overlooking a scenic lake on which the area Maharajah constructed his palace, this cliff-top palace is marked by distinctive architecture. Owing to the extreme heat of the Indian summer, special steps were taken by the Mughal architects to facilitate cooling, such as high ceilings, pools, jalousies, and windows placed to catch breezes.
