Description
The Sikhs are the fourth largest religious group in India, with just under two percent of the population, but rank high in relative wealth per person. The sect itself started as a purification movement of Hinduism in the fifteenth century. Its teachings recognize the ten Sikh gurus, or enlightened leaders, as well as the holy scripture entitled the Gur?? Granth Sahib, which includes selected works of many uevotees from diverse socio-economic and religious backgrounds.
