Title
Sikh man inside Golden Temple
Description
The richly-ornamented Golden Temple -- completely rebuilt after having been severely damaged by an Indian government attack in 1984 -- stands as the crowning architectural achievement of the Sikh community. Funds for the reconstruction were raised privately. The Sikhs cluster in Punjab State, the richest agricultural area of India.
