Title
Over the Mezquita, Cordoba
Description
Tourists can climb the lofty bell tower for views of the Mezquita complex and the great city of Cordoba. This bell tower was originally Abd al-Rahman III's commissioned minaret, which held two staircases - one for the ascent, and the other for the descent. The minaret held fourteen windows for a panoramic view. Tourists, rather than muezzins, enjoy this view today.
