Title
Over the Mezquita, Cordoba
Description
Tourists can climb the lofty belltower for views of the Mezquita complex and the great city of Cordoba. This belltower was orignially Abd al-Rahman III's commissioned minaret, which held two staircases - one for the ascent, and the other for the descent. The minaret held fourteen windows for a panoramic view. Tourists, rather than muezzins, enjoy this view today.
