Title
Berber tent, Morocco
Description
After the advent of Islam, nomadic Berbers were among the first to convert and support the faith in the Mahgreb. Settled Christian and Jewish communities were less enthused, and they soon found themselves outnumbered severely. Today, the population of Morocco is 99.9% Sunni Muslim, with tiny Christian and Jewish minorities residing in the cities. The Berber population hovers around 20 million.
