Title
Chapel of Flagellation, Casa de Pilatos
Description
La Casa de Pilatos is a palace dating from the 1500s in Seville. Its architecture combines Italian architecture, which was alive and flourishing after the high Renaissance, with the more location-appropriate Mujedar style native to Spain. The Chapel of Flagellation takes cues from the Mujedar style, but the statue in the middle of the altar is from Ancient Rome.
