Description
Alcala de Guadaira, located a few miles from Seville, was the major producer of Seville's bread in the medieval period. The large city walls date from the 1200s-1300s C.E. The Greeks and Romans knew this town as "Hienipo" and "Hienipensis," respectively, and some remains have been found around the city.
