Gdyśmy objęli w posiadanie Ziemie Zachodnie i Północne zastaliśmy tam zgliszcza i morza ruin. Zniszczenia poszczególnych miast sięgały od 35 do 80 procent. Czekał ogrom odbudowy odzyskanych ziem.
